The former Agricutural Consortium of Piacenza, once a nerve center of working life in the city, is now abandoned and left to decay. Just like this urban area – once so important to the people of Piacenza – tons of bureaucratic documents have also been forgotten within the crumbling walls of the consortium.
With Dove ci aggrappammo a quanto rimase, these same documents, now stripped of their former importance, resurface and begin to float, bearing witness to a collective effort that once took place and that has left behind nothing but mold and a silent testimony.
The installation, however, is destined to disappear, as it is created within a space exposed to the elements; the documents therefore return to resting among the dust, for who knows how long.
