When we find ourselves within a crowd we can immerse our senses in the surrounding murmur, experiencing the situation as an enveloping moment of listening.
The instant unfolds through glimpses of such a wide multiplicity of life experiences that, as we observe and listen to those around us, it becomes impossible not to recognize in others certain traits that belong to us, or even questions about what we might – or might not – wish to become in the future.
Through this perspective of uninterrupted comparison between ourselves and those who surround us, Becoming-crowd highlights the human need to manage all the influences that deposit within us fragments of others’ ways of being.
