Altrimetria del ricordo sews together old crochets found in a now-empty room inside the author’s home. Remnants from an old bond, one that has since been slowly picked apart by the passing of time, are now joined together through a slow and mindful procedure.
Taking shape is what seems like a blanket, suspended at the center of the exhibition space, which poses a fundamental question about the remembering of dear ones: can the simple materiality of what remains convey the depth of what has been, or do these objects ask us for something more, in order to give remembrance the proper shape?
